Book Description:

HUMAN BEANS is one side of a serious but fun conversation about what it is to be human... in relation to plants and animals, biology and farming. It’s a nice little slice of how the world works. Share it with a child you love. It’s that kind of book.

HUMAN BEANS is published in the Books with No Pictures Series.  As you might expect, books in this series are pictureless but maintain the familiar format of the standard picturebook. Here's why: For beginning readers (who are used to being read to), the standard picturebook often provides the most comfortable frame of reference. Because the picturebook context is so well understood, removing the pictures (and making no other changes) draws attention to the words and shines a bright light on the path to reading.
